Field Trip

Opal at its best – but not from Maidenwell!

The South Burnett Gem and Fossicking Club has organized a relatively local Field Trip onto a private property in the Maidenwell area. We are led to believe that this particular spot holds an amount of Opalized Fossilized Wood. As some of this is well worth collecting, it could be well worth the trip.

This trip will take place on Saturday, October 2nd. Meeting place in the Maidenwell Park at 8:30am, subject to weather and Covid19 conditions at the time. Please remember to bring your normal equipment and protective clothing, including water and food. There is a cafe in the area if you wish to buy something local.

If you intend to go on this Field Trip, it is essential that you contact the Secretary by Thursday, September 30th, 2021 to book a position. No roll-ups allowed. Remember, it is necessary to be a current financial member to attend any club activities.
